Mirrors Edge

As some of you may have heard already, EA games has been working on an ultimate free walking game called "Mirrors Edge." There has not been a projected release date yet, but EA has released several teaser trailers that feature top of the line hi-definition graphical game play. The game has been talked about numerous times on IGN and other gaming sites. The tech team at Com.Puter.Tv
say that this game could easily be an equivalent to an Assassin's Creed first person game, based on the graphics and interface. We will update more on Mirrors Edge as more information is released.

Two Days Til' Farcry 2!

The anticipation of FarCry2 is almost over! Get hyped, because this Wednesday, FarCry2 will finally be released for Xbox 360! The wait is finally over in just two days! UBIsoft has been spending loads of money advertising the release of this game. I saw three commercials for it yesterday, and I also saw a window sticker in the local GameStop window. It will be no surprise when massive lines begin to form this Wednesday at any electronic store. Hurry up and get to the stores starting 12:00am Wednesday! Screen shots coming soon!

Spore Meets Xbox!

The favored upcoming game for PC has been officially announced that it will be hitting stores not only with PC, but for the Xbox 360, and other consoles! The exact date is not set yet, but it will happen. One of the men behind the creation of the game, also helped develop the infamous game series, The SIMS. In a recent GameSpy interview, they asked Mr.Wright if Spore is only going to be available for PC. His response summarized stated that Spore will definitely be coming out on all of the big and popular consoles. He even said that the game will hit mobile devices, such as cell phones. He did indeed say that Spore will be coming out for PC first no matter what. So when you heard that Spore is released for PC, that only means that it is getting closer to Xbox 360 release!

Netflix Meets Xbox

A lot of the Xbox users don't realize it, but you can actually use netflix via your Xbox 360! There is a third party software called"vmcNetflix," which allows you to get netflix videos directly through your Xbox. Some people buy highly priced video streaming boxes to view downloaded video on their Xbox. The streaming boxes take a while to convert the videos to a playable format on your TV. If you are already a netflix user, or want to get cheap movies, I highly recommend getting it. The vmcNetflix offers great service, and is a quick and easy way to get top of the line movies for an affordable price!

Gears of War 2

Microsoft and Epic Games announced that “Gears of War 2,” the sequel to the five million unit selling original, has already gone gold.The highly anticipated sequel leads a jam-packed next couple of months. Gears of War was an enormous hit on XBOX Live and there's no doubt that the sequel will be just as popular when it hits shelves next month. The official release is November 7, 2008. Epic Games has already made it towards the top of the gaming industry with their releases of "Unreal Tournament" series, and the original Gears of War. Gears of War 2 is easily going to be right up there with their other "Epic" Games!

Red Ring Of Death

Most people that consider themselves "Xboxers", know about the infamous lights known as "The Red Ring Of Death (RROD)." Microsoft designed the ring of light to change in different red colored patterns to notify you when there's a specific problem with your Xbox. For example, when your ring of light has 2 of the left lights flashing red, that means that your Xbox is overheating. Just because some of your lights are glowing red, doesn't necessarily mean that your Xbox is dead.

The Red Ring Of Death red light pattern is when all of the lights are red, except for the upper right corner (when the Xbox is sitting upwards). The RROD is caused when there is a malfunctioned, or bad part in your Xbox. This happens to so many people because the temperature of the Xbox gets ridiculously high. If you have never taken your 360 apart, you have a life time warranty for the RROD. Microsoft will actually pay for the shipping and everything besides the shipping box. The process takes about 3 weeks to get your console back, but its better than trying to fix it by yourself. If you get the RROD, call 1-800-469-9269 (1-1800-4myxbox).

There are several methods that are featured on sites such as Youtube and DailyMotion to fix the RROD. I highly do not recommend you doing any of their methods. I would simply call Microsoft and have them deal with your console. A common quick fix is the blanket smuggle. When you do this, it overheats your Xbox, which can destroy your Xbox even more. The blanket smuggle also only allows you to play for about 15 minutes at a time.

If you try to find the malfunctioned part, you have to take apart your console, which voids your warranty. With no warranty, you can never get your console fixed. To sum it up, let Microsoft deal with your Red Ring Of Death.

Activision: Secret Service

Many of you are most likely to of heard of Activision publishing Inc, which is one of the creators of some pretty decent games like Tony Hawks series. On October 10, 2008, Activision officially announced that their new game: Secret Service, will be released later this year! It will also be released for Playstation 3 and Pc.

In this game, you will be playing the role of a high agent in the secret service. Your task is to do anything possible to keep the president of the United States safe. It takes place in Washington DC, when an extremist group launches an assault on the capitol. The game is said to be a high quality tactic first person game!

New Xbox 360 Dashboard

On November 19, 2008 Microsoft will be releasing the anticipated Xbox 360 Dashboard update! The official release date was announced at the Tokyo Game Show. The release will bring all new avatars and the infamous Group Chatting! The group chatting appears to be similar to the chatting on the Wii. In the group chatting, there will be a screen filled with the other players avatars. The update will also be worldwide. The rumor started earlier this year about the new dashboard, but loads of players denied it through Xbox Live. There was also a Beta version released, which got excellent reviews. Turn up your gaming experiences with Xbox 360, and download the new dashboard on November 19!

EA Fails to Buy Rockstar Games

Multi Billion dollar EA (Electronic Arts) recently tried to purchase Rockstar games, but got rejected. The CEO of EA (John Riccitello) said that their main interest was earning the money from the Most Sold Game in Gaming history, Grand Theft Auto. John Riccitello claimed that their "primary interests" in the top 4 videogame creators was rockstar, including their games: Bully, Grandtheft Auto, Midnight Club, and Manhunt. John Riccitello also stated "I believe the company is fully justified in calling themselves Rockstar because that's what they are in the industry." (BBC) After the whole ordeal Mr Riccitiello said he had great respect for the producers behind Grand Theft Auto, Sam and Dan Houser and Leslie Benzies (BBC)

What Happened To Gamersville?

Gamersville's basic theme just really wasn't working out. The original idea about having Gamersville being an entertainment site didn't work out because of all of the sites that are near the same category. The second Idea of having cheats and game guides was just too much work. Finally the idea of having video reviews didn't work out because of the lack of commitment me and the Gamersville crew had. Gamersville is now XboxFuse.com, which when the actual site is completed, will feature xbox news, videos, screenshots, cheats, achievements, guides, and much more!

As a result, i have decided to turn Gamersville into an Xbox Help Site. The forums will stay the same, but might undergo a new wardrobe.

Since I am the original owner and creator of Gamersville, the blog will be based more on my interests. I am not the mastermind behind all of the computer modding and parts. I am more into Gaming, Web design, Movies, TV Series, and other stuff around that topic, so you can be expecting blog posts about that.

XboxFuse.Com is the offial site for now. Gamersville might make a comback after Xboxfuse.Com is completed.
